HVM Racing: organiser of motor races for historic vehicles

The Historic Tour heads west!

The French Historic Circuit Championship heads into the second round of the season at the Val de Vienne circuit. A former host of the Historic Tour finale, the venue will welcome the drivers under a new, condensed two-day event format.

A shortened weekend

After stopping at Dijon-Prenois in late April, the Historic Tour heads to Haute-Vienne in late spring. Located between Poitiers and Limoges, this demanding 3.768 km track promises high top speeds and plenty of battles, combining fast corners with slower turns in the third sector.

The timetable will be particularly packed: Friday morning will be reserved for private testing, while Friday afternoon will feature qualifying sessions as well as Race 1 of the Pre-66 Sprint Series. On Saturday, all the races for the other grids comprising the French Historic Circuit Championship will take place, concluding with the traditional 200 KM race.

MORE THAN 130 CARS EXPECTED ON TRACK FOR THIS SECOND ROUND

For the second event of its twelfth season, the French Historic Circuit Championship will welcome more than 130 cars on track and 140 drivers entered at Le Vigeant. In total, 13 races will animate the weekend, spread across 7 distinct grids, with the 200 km endurance race added on Saturday evening.

More specifically, over 30 single-seaters will be present on the circuit, divided between the Formula Renault Historic & Classic, Formula Ford Historic and Formula Ford Kent trophies. The Saloon Cars & GT Classic Trophy will itself boast 31 cars on the starting grid, once again making it the largest grid after Dijon.
