HVM Racing: organiser of motor races for historic vehicles

200 KM

THE CONCEPT

The 200 KM Race, operated by HVM Racing, is a 90-minute race format featuring two mandatory pit stops of at least 2 minutes and 30 seconds each. Teams may consist of 1 to 3 drivers, and refueling (if necessary) is handled by our partner Sodifuel. Tire choice is free.
The races forming part of the Historic Tour will have their own separate classification within the Historic Circuit Endurance category. At the end of the season, three French Championship titles will be awarded.

ELIGIBLE CARS

Eligible cars include Sedans, GTs, and Prototypes that are eligible for one of the Trophies, Cups, Challenges, or Series making up the Historic Tour.
These cars must fully comply with the technical regulations of the Trophy under which they are entered.
Single-seaters are not accepted.

CLASSIFICATION

An overall (scratch) classification will be established for all cars.
Points will be awarded to each team according to the scale defined in Article 9.2 of the French Historic Circuit Championship regulations.
The classification will be based on teams, not individual drivers. A driver may therefore appear twice if he has competed with different teams, but points will not be cumulative.
Points earned in this Challenge cannot be combined with those of the French Championship standings.

The races forming part of the Historic Tour will have their own classification within the Historic Circuit Endurance category.
At the end of the season, three French Championship titles will be awarded:

  • The first will reward the best team in the Prototype category up to 31/12/2000, divided into two classes: Protos -2L and Protos +2L.
  • A second title will be awarded in the GT/Touring Pre-90 category, which includes all cars produced up to 31/12/1989, excluding prototypes.
  • Finally, a third title will crown the GT/Touring Post-90 category, which includes cars produced after 01/01/1990, excluding prototypes.

RACE FORMAT

  • 1 qualifying session of up to 30 minutes.
  • 1 race of 90 minutes with 2 mandatory pit stops minimum:
    • The first stop must occur between the 22nd and 38th minute of the race.
    • The second stop must occur between the 52nd and 68th minute of the race.

Only during these pits stop windows may cars enter the designated refueling area.
In accordance with Article 7.5 of the standard asphalt circuit regulations:

These teams will wear balaclavas, fireproof gloves compliant with FIA standards, FIA 86 overalls, and protective goggles.
The use of radios and mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the refueling area.

This area is exclusively dedicated to refueling. It will be off-limits to the public, and only officials, safety teams, refueling personnel, and the driver may enter.
Two pumps will be installed, and competitors may have to wait for an available pump before refueling.
