An unprecedented start to Season 12!
An exceptional season opener
After fifteen years away, the trucks are back at the legendary Dijon-Prenois circuit. On 25 and 26 April 2026, the Dijon Truck Grand Prix will mark the official opening round of the 2026 FFSA French Truck Championship, as part of a weekend organised in collaboration with the French Historic Circuit Championship.
A major event on the calendar, the Dijon Truck Grand Prix will bring together drivers, manufacturers, transport operators, partners and enthusiasts around an increasingly competitive line-up. With six rounds scheduled across France, the FFSA French Truck Championship confirms its growth, its appeal and its status as a benchmark among European national championships.
For its part, the Historic Tour continues to go from strength to strength. Almost always present on the calendar since the championship was created in 2015, Dijon-Prenois remains one of the most appreciated tracks for the technicality and speed of its layout, but also for the sporting heritage it carries through the French Formula 1 Grand Prix.
As it approaches its twelfth season, the French Historic Circuit Championship is preparing to enter a new dimension in 2026, with three major developments.
Drivers entered in Formula Renault Historic as well as in Category A will now score points in the “Single-Seaters” standings of the French Historic Circuit Championship. These points will be awarded based on the overall classification of each race, regardless of division or class. “Guest” drivers, as well as those in Categories B and C, will not score championship points.
After more than ten years of existence, the Historic Tour is confirming its ability to evolve and continuously enrich its sporting offer. Driven by the growing enthusiasm for endurance racing, the Championship is taking a new step forward with a restructuring of its titles, whose number increases from four to six. From now on, three specific titles will reward endurance competitors: a title for Prototypes under 3 litres (cars built before 31 December 2000), a pre-90 Saloon/GT title and a post-90 Saloon/GT title (cars built before 31 December 2000). Through the Historic Tour 200 KM, three French Champion titles will therefore be awarded at the end of the season, with a clear ambition to strengthen sporting fairness and intensify the stakes on track.
In 2026, the pre-90 GT/Touring category is undergoing a major evolution with the creation of two new Sprint Series grids: pre-66 and pre-81. The result of discussions held with the drivers, this new organisation marks a return to the original spirit of historic motorsport, with cars grouped by homologation period rather than by power. The Sprint Series pre-66 grid will bring together saloons and GT cars homologated before 31 December 1965, with one sprint race of up to 20 minutes and one longer race of up to 40 minutes. The Sprint Series pre-81 grid will welcome, according to the same principle, saloons and GT cars homologated before 31 December 1980, with two sprint races of up to 25 minutes per meeting.
MORE THAN 200 CARS EXPECTED ON TRACK FOR THIS OPENING ROUND
After six months of winter break, the French Historic Circuit Championship will launch its twelfth season with more than 200 cars on track and 210 entered drivers. In total, 13 races will animate the weekend, spread across 7 distinct grids, in addition to the 200 km endurance race held on Saturday evening.
In detail, more than 50 single-seaters will be present on the circuit, divided between the Formula Renault Historic & Classic Trophy, Formula Ford Historic and Formula Ford Kent. The Saloon Cars & GT Classic Trophy can, for its part, boast 36 cars on the starting grid alone.

This area will also offer the chance to discover a spectacular American fire truck displayed for the event, as well as to meet Wheely, the official mascot, for an unmissable souvenir photo. The paddock will also host an exhibitors’ village as well as an open-air trade fair bringing together manufacturers, equipment suppliers, transport operators and many other industry players throughout the weekend.
