HVM Racing: organiser of motor races for historic vehicles

Dijon Motors Cup | 6, 7 & 8 October 2023

Dijon Motors Cup | 6, 7 & 8 October 2023

INTERNATIONALLY YOUR

Five months after occupying the venue for the Historic Tour meeting, promoter HVM Racing is back on the Burgundy circuit to organise the tenth edition of the Dijon Motors Cup. Like last year, the programme will feature eight grids with a European flavour, guaranteeing the event's international renown once again. Over the course of the weekend's 17 races, the lucky spectators in Prenois will see drivers from no fewer than fifteen different countries! Taking all the grids together, some 130 drivers are expected to take part in this not-to-be-missed rave of historic competition.

THE LEADING ROLE FOR F2

The British club HSCC's star-studded Formula 2 line-up is a regular at the Dijon Motors Cup. For the finale of its current season, it will once again bring together the finest F2 single-seaters from the years before 1979. March, Chevron, Brabham and Martini cars driven by some of the biggest names in motorsport at the time. Before staging its two final races in Dijon, this international series took in some of Europe's finest circuits: Hockenheim, Silverstone, Zandvoort, Brands Hatch and the Nürburgring. A closing weekend that will inevitably prove decisive in the awarding of the various 2023 titles.

GT/TOURING AND PROTOS: A GREAT TURNOUT ON TRACK

Between the event's loyal grids and those taking part for the first time, traffic is set to be particularly heavy on the track! On the regular side, the Dutch SuperSixties series (ex NKHTGH) boasts an exceptional list of 45 precious pre-1966 GT/Touring cars, while the cheerful Colmore YTCC from the same Netherlands plans to bring together another 40 pre-1990 GT/Touring cars. With these two alone, the meeting will be well worth the trip! But that's not all. Added to this are the much more contemporary GT3s from the German P9 Challenge grid, already present last year, and above all the newcomers who are sure to seduce the public.  The Ferrari Club Deutschland and British Lotus Cup Europe grids will feature a large number of Ferraris and Lotuses, as will the YTCC grid of Sport2000 Protos.

TIME FOR ENDURANCE

Every year, the Dijon Motors Cup traditionally includes an endurance race (known as the 300km) on its menu, a reminder of the blessed days when Prenois hosted the world championship in this discipline. Held on Saturday late afternoon over a two-hour period, the race will provide a welcome dose of diversity to the meeting. Nearly fifty crews are expected to line up at the start!
